2017 Draft-Cross Gelding

15.3 hh

Talk about a SALE HIGHLIGHT!! Minnow is everything you could want in a man; confident, caring and trustworthy. He knows exactly who he is, doesn't try to be anybody else, and has the charm factor!

One look into his eyes and you'll understand why Minnow has been a staple in our herd for 3 years! He is irresistible and undeniably the coolest looking horse we have ever owned. With his BUTTERMILK BUCKSKIN coat and a foretop that sweeps below his nostrils, he's a HUNK!

It's difficult to describe how he's captured our hearts! Maybe it's the sense of security he brings or the tenderness and trust he offers, perhaps it's because he's never let us down and is as loyal as they come. Needless to say, tears are going to fall when sale day arrives, actually, I need a Kleenex right now!

Minnow can do anything; ride, drive, lay down, go on trails, go show, jump, ride western, english, bareback, double, bridleless or with the dog aboard. Above all, Minnow is SAFE! He has been trusted in rough and steep 20,000 acre pastures with inexperienced riders in Wyoming and Montana, and never fails to take care of them. He has helped raise our kids and because he is so experienced with the carriage he has taught them how to drive, no worries about traffic as he handles it on his own. He has also taught them how to rope in the branding pen, he is unfazed by all the chaos with his calm, steady demeanor. No matter who's on his back, they're smiling and at ease!

Go along and get along are words Minnow lives by. Loud gunfire, bullwhips, bicycles, scooters, hoverboards, 4 wheelers, golf carts, dogs, wildlife, tarps, balls, you name it-he's comfortable with it. Everyone who handles him recognizes what a good citizen he is, they also appreciate his ground manners and kind nature.

Don't be surprised if all your friends fall head over heels for him! Everyone who meets him does! Even the entire high school volleyball team who used him in their team photo, Minnow was the center piece of the whole thing! Surrounded by 37 girls and 3 coaches, he was in Heaven! Then, this spring, he was requested for a quinceanera photo shoot. Talk about BREATHTAKING!! He was such a gentleman, so careful and polite! With a puffy dress brushing up against his legs, and jewels everywhere, it'd be a risky move with any other horse! But there were NO WORRIES with Minnow!

He can ground tie for days, which makes it pretty convenient on trail rides when nature calls! It also makes it easy to pamper him, give him a bath, clip him, braid his mane, etc. Minnow soaks in all the attention you give him without ever assuming any of it, his polite nature never ceases to amaze me.

The word, CARETAKER, may be an understatement with Minnow. Kindness and carefulness surround him in everything he does. Whether kids are brushing his legs or he's strolling through a pen of baby calves, he knows exactly where his feet are and avoids stepping on toes at all costs. If you measure one by the size of their heart and try, he would be off the chart.

You can cross rushing water, go up and down steep ditches, climb the mountain side or go through the timber, it won't matter, Minnow will adjust before you bat an eye. Sidepass over to open and close the gates, turn that crazy cow or stroll down the trail, he makes it all easy. To be honest he makes everything FUN!

Above all, we hope Minnow ends up with his forever home, as he deserves the very best! It's been a joy to have him in our program as he's never let us down! He has been kept up to date on all care, is easy to shoe, deworm, vaccinate and LOVE. Please come meet and try him prior to the sale, we guarantee you'll be happy you did! Throughout the year, Megan & Tegan Hansen's horses are exposed to countless disciplines including team roping, trail riding, skijoring, branding, gathering and doctoring cattle, jumping, ranch work in Wyoming and Montana and ranch horse shows-of where daughter Teagan won her first buckle ? They want to be known for devoting time to each horse, being able to recognize their strengths and allow them their individuality. Keeping those ideals at the forefront of their training helps to ensure they can honestly represent each horse and pair them with the right person and situation. They truly value the relationships they build with new owners.
