Buckwheat is a blue-eyed buckskin gelding masterfully trained and successfuly shown; a true gentleman to ride, that is enjoyable for any level of rider! Soft and supple with a strong work ethic and a charming personality. Walks trots and lopes as pretty as you please with a terrific handle to boot. Stops like one should and has classy turnarounds, crisp lead departures and a clean change. Travels on a loose rein and is easy to operate for all ages.
Buckwheat crosses obstacles, side passes to open and close gates, and doesn’t mind cattle. No silly business in any situation and keeps a level head with or without speed. He has been shown in the youth reining and has won numerous awards. Buckwheat is well behaved in and out of the arena, going down the trail, cruising around the pastures gathering cattle, or just hanging out with him in the barn. He has terrific ground manners, easy to catch, stalls quietly, good for the farrier, LOVES bubble baths, and grooming. Super friendly with a charismatic demeanor that makes him enjoyable to be around!
