Laddy is a stunning blue roan gelding. With his striking coat, a soft white star on his forehead, and two small white socks on his hind feet, he is the kind that turns heads wherever he goes.
But it is not just his looks that make him stand out, it is his kind heart and willing nature that truly set him apart. Laddy has a big, gentle personality and a true “want-to-please” attitude. He meets you at the gate every time—calm and willing to head out in any environment. Whether you ride him once a day, once a week, or once a month—he stays the same steady, dependable partner. He is consistent, honest, and truly wants to connect and be your partner.
He has been on countless trail rides—through creeks, over logs, across bridges, and out on state roads in traffic—taking it all in stride without missing a beat. He has been used to check cows and is confident around livestock and all types of terrain. Laddy has three smooth, easy-to-ride gaits, a good one-hand neck rein, and will side-pass right up to the mounting block.
He has been ridden Western, English, and bareback, and is safe for riders of all levels—from beginners to seniors. Even the kids enjoy riding him around the farm. He has been desensitized to just about everything—gunshots, bullwhips, tarps—you name it. Nothing seems to bother him, making him the kind of horse you can trust in any environment.
In the barn, Laddy is a gentleman. He is easy in the wash bay, stands great for the farrier, and is quiet to handle. He is up to date on dental work, deworming, and farrier care—ready to step into any program.

What started as a passion has grown into a family-run farm where Duane and Miriam Yoder, their seven children, and a dedicated team work together to train and offer safe, dependable, and quality horses. We specialize in Versatile Quarter Horses, Draft Crosses, and all types of well-minded Horses. Each Buckeye Acre Graduate is carefully selected and thoughtfully trained, exposed to trails, obstacles, traffic, and all kinds of real-world experiences—so they are truly ready for their forever home.
