This versatile and seasoned mare has truly done it all. She’s confidently patterned on barrels, dragged calves to the branding fire, and doctored countless cattle outside. Misty has been used extensively on the ranch, in the arena, through the mountains elk hunting, packing out game, and even for easy backyard pleasure rides. She’s soft in the bridle, smooth to ride, and always eager to please — whether you’re gathering cattle, cruising down the trail, or letting the kids hop on for a spin around the yard. She’s even competed in mounted shooting and mounted archery. She has been ridden English and western. She has been started jumping is  broke to drive and pull a carriage. She has been driven down the road and with lots of traffic !

Misty is the kind you can trust with the whole family, yet handy enough to get the job done when real work calls. She’s kid-safe, husband-safe, grandma-safe, and reads her rider with uncanny intuition, matching their skill level with confidence and care. She rides out alone or in a group, crosses any obstacle, and brings a calm, steady presence wherever she goes. Misty lays down on command, side-passes to the fence to help you mount, and stands ground tied like a pro.

She ties, shoes, loads, unloads, bathes, clips, and stands quietly for anything you ask. Traffic safe and town-tested, she’s seen it all — ATVs, tractors, mowers, ponies, pigs, chickens, strollers, bikes, and gunfire — and takes it all in stride.
