2022 AQHA Gelding

15.1 hh

More than just his good looks, Furlo has the quiet, gentle mindset that makes him enjoyable for riders of all experience levels.

Whether you are a beginner, senior rider, or an experienced horseman, Furlo is the kind of horse that wants to take care of his rider and always gives you his best. He has been ridden western, English, and bareback and takes every ride in stride. Whether you are in the indoor arena, outdoor arena, or heading down the trail, he never seems to miss a beat.

With his balanced movement, athletic build, and willing attitude, we also think he has the talent to excel in the English discipline or make an outstanding fox hunting prospect. Furlo has been on miles of trails through the woods, across creeks and water, over logs, through open fields, and on both small country roads and state roads in traffic. Unfamiliar places and new situations do not seem to bother him—he simply goes to work with his calm, willing attitude.

Around the farm, Furlo has been used to check cows and ride fence lines, proving he is not only a dependable trail horse but a versatile partner as well. He is comfortable riding alone or with a group and is happy whether he's leading the pack, riding in the middle, or bringing up the rear. Whatever makes his rider comfortable is perfectly fine with him.

Furlo has good gaits at the walk, trot, and canter and knows his leads. His willing, "want-to-please" attitude shines through every ride and makes him a true pleasure to work with. In the barn, he is a true gentleman. He is easy to catch, the first one to meet you at the gate, and is just as enjoyable on the ground as he is under saddle. He stands quietly for grooming, saddling, bathing, and in the wash bay.

He gets along well in the pasture whether turned out by himself or in a group. He is also well desensitized and confident around everyday obstacles, including tarps, jugs, and whips. The time invested in his training shows in the confidence and steady attitude he brings wherever he goes.

Furlo is up to date on his vaccinations, deworming, and dental care, so he is ready for his next adventure.

If you're looking for a safe, honest, family-friendly AQHA gelding with the looks to get noticed, the mind to keep you confident, and the versatility to enjoy almost anything you ask of him, Furlo may be just the partner you've been looking for.

Welcome to Buckeye Acre Farm!
We at Buckeye Acre Farm began our journey with horses back in 1995 with a simple pony and a big dream. What started as a passion has grown into a family-run farm where Duane and Miriam Yoder, their seven children, and a dedicated team work together to train and offer safe, dependable, and quality horses. We specialize in Versatile Quarter Horses, Draft Crosses, and all types of well-minded Horses. From the very beginning, we look for horses with a good mind—because a willing and level-headed partner makes all the difference. Each Buckeye Acre Graduate is carefully selected and thoughtfully trained, exposed to trails, obstacles, traffic, and all kinds of real-world experiences—so they are truly ready for their forever home. Our goal is more than just selling horses; we are here to help match families with the right partner. Because at the heart of everything we do is our motto: What matters to you, matters to us.
And we truly believe that happy horses make happy customers. Whether you are here to find your next equine partner or just stop by to visit, you come as a client and leave as a friend.
We would be honored to help you along your journey—let’s connect!
Blessings,
~ The Buckeye Acre Farm Team
