2021 AQHA Gelding

14.3 hh

Eagle is an own son of Hall of Fame stallion Gunners Special Night, giving him the athletic ability, talent, and mind that have made these bloodlines so well respected. Add in his striking bald face, two blue eyes, two white hind socks, beautiful black mane and tail, and outstanding conformation, and he is sure to turn heads everywhere he goes.

Whether you are entering the show pen, heading down the trail, or simply watching him graze in your pasture, Eagle is a horse people notice. His willingness to please is what truly sets him apart. Whatever you ask of him, he steps up with a kind, willing attitude and gives you his absolute best.

He has been ridden Western, English, bareback, and even bridle less, taking every job in stride with confidence and ease. Eagle has smooth, comfortable gaits from his walk, trot, extended trot, and canter. He knows his leads, has a lead change, and has been ridden extensively in both indoor and outdoor arenas.

Whether you are riding in the arena, working on your skills, or exploring somewhere new, he remains calm, confident, and enjoyable to ride. He also holds his NRHA competition license and has the talent and foundation to excel in the reining pen.

With his athletic ability, willing attitude, and versatility, we also believe he would make an exceptional ranch riding prospect. Outside the arena is where Eagle continues to shine. He has been on countless miles of trails through the woods, across open fields, over logs, through creeks and water, and anywhere the trail leads.

He has been ridden on state roads in traffic as well as quiet country roads, taking everything in stride. Eagle is also good with tarps, jugs, whips, and many of the obstacles you may encounter on the trail or around the farm. New places and new experiences do not faze him—he simply takes everything in stride.

One of Eagle's greatest qualities is his versatility. He is safe for riders of all experience levels, from beginners and senior riders to experienced horsemen.

He does not need to be ridden every day to stay the same honest, dependable horse. Show him today, trail ride him tomorrow, let the grandkids enjoy him the next day, and then take him back to the show pen—that is the kind of versatile, dependable partner he is.

In the barn, Eagle is every bit of a gentleman. He is often the first one to meet you at the gate and enjoys attention. He is easy to catch, stands quietly in the wash bay, is a pleasure to groom and tack, and is respectful whether in the barn or the pasture.

Simply put, we struggle to find fault with him. Eagle is current on his vaccinations, deworming, and dental care and is ready to become someone's next trusted partner.

Welcome to Buckeye Acre Farm!
We at Buckeye Acre Farm began our journey with horses back in 1995 with a simple pony and a big dream. What started as a passion has grown into a family-run farm where Duane and Miriam Yoder, their seven children, and a dedicated team work together to train and offer safe, dependable, and quality horses. We specialize in Versatile Quarter Horses, Draft Crosses, and all types of well-minded Horses. From the very beginning, we look for horses with a good mind—because a willing and level-headed partner makes all the difference. Each Buckeye Acre Graduate is carefully selected and thoughtfully trained, exposed to trails, obstacles, traffic, and all kinds of real-world experiences—so they are truly ready for their forever home. Our goal is more than just selling horses; we are here to help match families with the right partner. Because at the heart of everything we do is our motto: What matters to you, matters to us.
And we truly believe that happy horses make happy customers. Whether you are here to find your next equine partner or just stop by to visit, you come as a client and leave as a friend.
We would be honored to help you along your journey—let’s connect!
Blessings,
~ The Buckeye Acre Farm Team
