Khonshu BPF is a 4-year-old sooty buckskin Azteca gelding who embodies everything people hope to find in a young horse - athletic, trainable, forgiving, and endlessly kind. A true Labrador Retriever in a horse's body, he genuinely loves people and wants nothing more than to be your partner. Sired by an Andalusian and out of a Quarter Horse mare, he blends the athleticism and elegance of the Iberian breeds with the level-headed versatility of the Quarter Horse.

Equally at home in English or Western tack, Khonshu is the definition of a true all-around partner. Despite his age, he has already competed successfully through First and Second Level Dressage and schooling Third Level. He has experience at rated dressage, open fun shows, and even done liberty shows. He confidently performs shoulder-in, haunches-in, leg yields, half pass, and correct pivots, yet remains soft, uncomplicated, and forgiving enough to carry beginner riders. Khonshu also has a very natural talent for jumping with a very elastic stride, brave to a fence, and strides over like it's nothing (despite his limited exposure due to his young age). He is happy to continue what he's currently doing or has an endless amount of potential for someone who wants to take him to the next level. Balanced between "whoa" and "go," he has the kind of willing attitude that makes every ride enjoyable.

Outside the arena, Khonshu is just as dependable. He trail rides confidently alone or in a group, crosses water and bridges, is comfortable in traffic, is gun broke, has pushed cattle, ridden around buffalo, and has been used for clinics, expos, obstacle challenges, mounted shooting and skijoring. If you want to take a ride to town, swim in the lake or ride to that waterfall, he’s your guy. He has also been ridden through some of the toughest trails in the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota and navigates the difficult terrain with ease. Khonshu is an easy hauler and traveler, is comfortable with stall or pasture life, and gets along with everyone he meets. He is happy to ride bareback and bridleless as well and approaches new situations with confidence and curiosity, making him the kind of horse you'll reach for whether you're heading to a horse show, the trail, or simply out for an evening ride.

His fun-loving personality is just the icing on the cake. Khonshu enjoys showing off tricks including the Spanish walk, laying down on cue, sit, and standing proudly on a pedestal. He has no vices and a genuine desire to please, he is the kind of horse that quickly becomes everyone's favorite in the barn.

Tiffany Stauffer, owner of Grace & Grit Horsemanship in Wilson, Wisconsin, grew up on a small hobby farm where her lifelong passion for horses began. Over the years, she has developed a well-rounded program built through experience in a wide variety of disciplines, including reining, rodeo, ranch riding, dressage, mounted shooting, liberty, bridleless riding, and trick training.

Grace & Grit Horsemanship is known for producing versatile, well-exposed horses with solid foundations, kind minds, and real-world experience. Tiffany’s focus is on developing horses that are confident, willing, and adaptable—not just inside the arena, but out on the trail, at shows, clinics, expos, and in everyday life.
